Ingredients

30minutes
5-6 servings
  • 1 cupsemolina
  • 1 cupwater, hot
  • 1 cupmashed potatoes
  • 2 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1 tspturmeric
  • 1 tsp.Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp.chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp.Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp.Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp.salt
  • 2 tbsp.oil

Steps

30minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl add the semolina and water. Mix and let rest 10 minutes

  2. 2

    Add all the ingredients in semolina and knead medium soft dough. Rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make small balls, 50g each, and gently roll.

  4. 4

    Heat enough oil in a wok and fry the puris till golden from both sides.

  5. 5

    Drain on kitchen paper.

  6. 6

    Serve with aloo tarkari or cholay.
