Orange Chicken

I had some leftover white rice from the day before and decided to make this recipe to go with it. I don’t usually make Chinese recipes in my daily routine, but today I wanted to try something new and it turned out great. It takes a little time, but the result is very tasty.

Prep all your ingredients.

Cut the chicken breasts into small cubes for even frying. Beat one egg and dip the chicken pieces in it.

For the breading, mix the flour with the garlic powder, ground cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and white pepper. Coat the chicken in the breading and fry in shallow oil until golden.

Mince the garlic and sauté in oil until golden. Add the orange juice, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Boil over high heat for 5 minutes, then add 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Dissolve the cornstarch in the apple cider vinegar and add to the sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes over medium heat, then add the fried chicken.

Stir-fry the vegetables in a little oil until they release their juices, then add to the chicken to finish.

Serve over a portion of white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
