I had 1.1 lbs (500 grams) of ground pork and beef and some homemade sofrito ready, and in no time we enjoyed a delicious plate of meatballs with French fries.

Gather all the ingredients.

Season the meat with salt and pepper, form into meatballs, and coat them lightly with flour as shown in the photo.

In a pot, heat a little oil. Add the sofrito, spices, and tomato paste. Sauté for a couple of minutes, then add the vermouth and white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate. Add the meatballs, bay leaf, and water. Simmer for 25 minutes over low heat.

The meatballs are ready to serve. I served them with French fries.
