Rinse rice and dal together until water runs clear.

In a pressure cooker, add rice, dal, water, turmeric, and salt.

Close the lid and cook for 2–3 whistles.

In a small pan, heat ghee. Add cumin seeds,hing and cloves, let them sizzle.

Pour the tadka over the cooked khichdi and mix well.

One pot khichdi is ready
Tips
Adjust the water quantity for a softer or thicker khichdi based on your preference.
