Ingredients

20 minutes
2 persons
  • 2 1/2 cupsroughly chopped palak
  • 1 cupmethi leaves
  • 4-5 tbspoil
  • 1 cuppaneer cubes
  • 2 tbspboiled matar
  • 2 tsproughly chopped garlic
  • 1 tsproughly chopped ginger
  • 1 tspgreen chillies chopped
  • 3/4 cupchopped onions
  • 1 tspgarlic 🧄 finely chopped
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • grated paneer as required
  • 1 tspsugar
  • salt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop onions 🧅, garlic 🧄,ginger & green chillies roughly

    Take 2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan & heat it. Saute paneer pieces in it till golden

    Remove sauteed paneer pieces on kitchen paper & keep aside.

    Wash palak & methi & chop them roughly.

    In the same pan (in which paneer is sauteed), add1 tbsp of oil & add palak & methi. Cover & cook till both shrink. Do not overcook or it will change colour. Cool on a plate.

    Once palak - methi has cooled down, add ginger, garlic & green chillies & blend it to a smooth paste in a mixer jar.

    Boil matar & keep aside.

    Take rest of the oil in the same pan & add onions & saute till golden. Add palak - methi paste & mix.Cook for 1/2 a minute.

    Add milk & mix.

    Add paneer pieces & mix Add 2 tbsp grated paneer & mix

    Add matar,salt, sugar & garam masala. Mix well.

    Take palak paneer methi matar saag in a bowl,. Garnish with grated paneer & green peas. Serve hot with naan or roti. Enjoy.

Tips

1.Do not cover the Saag completely or it will discolor. Once Saag is ready cover half only till serving time & do not heat it often .
