Sometimes the easiest recipes are the tastiest. Simple ingredients, a combination of a few spices and the patience transforms a dish into something so unique and flavourful as well as utterly delicious. This is Kathiyawadi style Lasaniya Batata which translates to Garlic Potatoes. It's a crowd pleaser in parts of Saurashtra and a common street food snack in the State of Gujarat. With all the Chillies used in it, it is a spicy dish but of course one make the necessary changes accordingly. Even though the Chillies are a major part, but in this recipe, you just let Garlic do all the talking.

It is a popular and a flavourful dish and often served with Yellow cylindrical Fryums sometimes called Bhoogera for a lovely snack. The idea is to wear a Fryum on your finger and then smash it into the softened Potato and enjoy a soft Garlic spiced Potato with some crunch. However you serve these or whichever way one would love to devour them, these Lasaniya Batata is a sure shot hit with all the Potato lovers.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
