Chana Dal Samosa

Soak chana daal, then coarsely grind it.

For the dough, mix refined flour, ajwain, salt, and 5 tbsp oil. Rest for 10 minutes.

Mix ground chana daal with spices: red chili powder, garam masala, saunf, coriander, red chili, amchur, asafoetida, and salt.

Make small dough balls, roll into small discs, cut in half, and shape into cones.

Fill cones with chana daal mixture, seal, and shape into triangles.

Heat oil for deep frying. Fry samosas on low flame until golden brown and crisp.

Serve hot with chai.
Tips
Ensure the oil is at the right temperature for frying to achieve a crispy texture.
