Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl

Rub in the magarine into the flour

Add sugar to the flour mixture and mix

Grate the covering skin of the lemon into the mixture

Add the milk and make smooth stiff dough

Roll the dough to about a thick using a lightly floured board

Fry in hot fat turning to brown both sides

Keep in a clean container lined with an absorbent paper

Serve with tea or as desired
