Heat two tbsp of oil and shallow fry the bitter gourd till crispy. Add shallots & green chili and saute for two minutes. Lower the heat and add all the spice powders.

Add tomato and salt and saute for few minutes. Add half a cup of hot water along with coconut milk. Check the salt level and the water consistency. When the gravy starts to boil, remove from fire. Once it's cool down, add beaten curd and mix well.

Finally heat oil in another pan and do the tempering. Pour this over the curry and close with a lid for few minutes.Yummy pavakka curry is ready to serve with rice..
