Cook the chopped potato, carrot and peas in the microwave or pressure cooker.

In the mixer, add the grated coconut, cinnamon, tamarind, black pepper, green chillis and coriander. Add some water and make a fine paste with slightly flowy texture.

In a pan, heat some oil and add the mustard seeds. Saute till the mustard splutters.

Now add in the green paste from the mixer and saute for a minute.

Add in the cooked vegetables, little sugar, and salt (I added around 2 level tsp).

Mix well, allow to simmer for a while.

Green kurma is ready!! Goes well with chapatis and pooris!
