Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupwheat flour
  2. 1/2 cupcorn flour
  3. 1/2 cupsugar
  4. 1egg
  5. 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  6. 1/2teaspoon, cinammon, nutmeg
  7. 2 tablespoonsdried fruits
  8. maziwa mala/ buttermilk
  9. 1 tablespooncooking oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients together to form a batter of dropping consistency

  2. 2

    One can use fresh milk and vinegar or lemon juice if buttermilk is unavailable.

  3. 3

    Heat pan moderately

  4. 4

    Scoop batter using a spoon into the pan. you can cook 3 at a go

  5. 5

    Leave to cook till small holes form on the upper side

  6. 6

    Turn and allow the other side to cook

  7. 7

    Sprinkle honey, icing sugar, blueberries or jam and serve as you wish.

  8. 8
