Delicious spinach with chickpeas, easy and quick to make. This recipe is just how Grandma used to make it, and I treasure it dearly.

Boil the spinach in salted water for 8 minutes. I use frozen spinach. Once cooked, drain and leave it in the pot.

Fry the bread slices in olive oil, then fry the peeled garlic cloves. Set both aside. In the remaining oil, lightly toast the smoked paprika, then add it to the spinach.

Add the bay leaves, ground cumin, and a little salt to the spinach.

Blend the fried bread, garlic, 1/4 cup water, and 2 tablespoons vinegar until smooth. Add this mixture to the spinach.

Add the drained chickpeas.

Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
