Besan Ladoo

Lord Ganesha has many favorite sweets and one among them is “Besan Ladoo”. I guess many of us love to have this sweet.
As the name indicates this sweet is made up of besan (gram flour). It is very simple to make. The only thing which you need to take care is that always stir the besan continuously while roasting it.

As the name indicates this sweet is made up of besan (gram flour). It is very simple to make. The only thing which you need to take care is that always stir the besan continuously while roasting it.

Dry roast the besan until it becomes fragrant. It will approximately take 12-15 minutes. Make sure you stir it continuously to avoid burning of the besan.

Now add ghee and roast the besan in ghee for other 5-6 minutes or until a proper nutty fragrance comes out of the roasted besan. The besan will start to release ghee.

Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder, almonds, and cashew nuts. Mix well.

Add sugar to the mixture and mix well.

Take out the mixture on a plate and let it cool down completely.

Now make ladoos from the mixture and keep aside.

They can be stored in an airtight container for around 15-20 days.
