Easy Hazelnut & Raisin Energy Balls
Easy, quick and tasty. Good fuel for a good run. These taste great and they're ideal to help you through exercise or as a packed-lunch boost to get you through a long day at work.
Steps
- 1
Take around half of the hazelnuts and blitz them in a food processor until they are in tiny pieces.
- 2
Pit the 200g of dates and add them to the food processor. Add the 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1½ tablespoon of cocoa powder and around half of the raisins to the food processor as well.
- 3
Blitz it all together until you have the start of a sticky mixture. If it's not quite sticky enough then add a few more dates.
- 4
Add the rest of the hazelnuts and raisins and pulse it a few times to make sure it's all mixed together.
- 5
Using your hands grab a small amount and roll it into a ball shape. Do the same until all of the mixture is used - it should give you around 16-18 energy balls.
- 6
Put them in the fridge for an hour or so to set and then store them in an air-tight container in the fridge.
- 7
Eat and enjoy!
