Ingredients

10 minutes
4 servings
  1. 3 cupsParched Grain/ pelalu
  2. 1 1/2 cupsJaggery
  3. 2 pinchesBlack pepper powder
  4. 1/4 cupCoconut slices
  5. Water-as required
  6. 1/4 cupClarified butter/ghee

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat a pan. Pour 1 cup of water to it. Then add grated jaggery.

  2. 2

    Stir it well, till the jaggery syrup attains a string like consistency.

  3. 3

    In the meanwhile,heat another pan. Fry the coconut slices in ghee until they turn light brown.

  4. 4

    Now add parched grain/ pelalu, black pepper powder, fried coconut slices to the jaggery syrup.Mix well.Switch off the flame.

  5. 5

    Transfer this mixture into a plate. Make round sized balls/laddus out of it.

  6. 6

    These laddus can be stored for two or three wees when kept in an airtight container.
