Ingredients

  • 3 tbspolive oil
  • 2garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspfresh ground black pepper
  • rock salt
  • 1/4 tsppaprika (add more if you prefer)
  • 1/4 tspchilli powder (add more if you prefer)
  • 2 tbspfreshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 6prepared sardines ( 2 per person)

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse and salt the sardines the night before coating them well with a good handful of salt. Place in fridge until needed.

  2. 2

    Pre-heat the oven to 200 Celsius.

  3. 3

    Place sardines on a oven proof flat tray and coat with the rest of the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Cook for about 20 minutes. No need to turn over.

  5. 5

    Note: This can also be done on the barbecue.

  6. 6

    Once cooked serve immediately.
