Needed a side dish for our autumn bbq steak, had carrots, orchard picked apples and fresh harvested basil on hand figured what better for an autumn bbq!?! So glad i did...so comforting!

1small red onion sliced
3 clovegarlic (small), chopped into chunks
1medium orchard apple (cored), chopped small
2 cupbaby carrots
6fresh basil leaves, chopped
2 tbspbrown sugar
2 tbspcold butter chopped to tiny bits
1/2 tspground ginger

Preheat oven to 425°F

Place ingredients in order as above into a metal oven safe dish, do not mix, cover with aluminum foil

Bake for at least 2h, remove from oven, mix well and serve, it doesn't look pretty but it tastes fabulous!!
