In a bowl, combine the ground beef with the grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, black pepper, salt, mixed spices, and paprika.

Mix the meat mixture well, then shape it into large kofta fingers (logs).

Cut the potatoes lengthwise into thick slices. Fry them in oil until they are half-cooked.

Fry the kofta in a skillet with a little oil until they are half-cooked. Do not overcook.

Arrange the kofta fingers and potato slices alternately in a baking dish.

Dilute the tomato paste with water to make a sauce, then add a little salt and spices.

Pour the sauce over the kofta and potatoes, then add pieces of tomato and green bell pepper on top.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes to brown the top.

Remove from the oven and serve with bulgur, rice, or a salad and assorted vegetables. Enjoy!
