Put cooking oil in a pan, add onions and garlic to the pan and let it cook for 1 minute

Add chopped tomatoes and stir let it cook till it creates a paste as you add black pepper and salt.

Put water in a small bowland break the royco cubes into the bowl and stir then add to the pan.

Stir the mixture till it boils the add fried fish to simmer for 5 minutes then turn to the other side to simmer.

I like to add my coriander last so that it is not over cooked

Serve while hot with ugali
