Ingredients

  1. 100 gramsflour
  2. 100 gramssugar
  3. 4eggs
  4. 2 tbspcocoa powder
  5. 1for the frosting
  6. 300 mlwhipping cream
  7. 100 gramschocolate ( chopped)
  8. 6glace cherries
  9. 1for the syrup
  10. 150 mlwater
  11. 175 gramssugar
  12. 2 tspcoffee
  13. 2 tspcocoa

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven 180°C

    Beat eggs and sugar until stiff

  3. 3

    Sift flour and cocoa powder together

  4. 4

    Fold in flour mixture into the eggs gently

  5. 5

    Pour in a cake pan and bake for 15-20 min

    For the frosting:

    Melt chocolate in microwave or in bain marie .leave to cool a little

  8. 8

    Whip cream and gradually add cooled chocolate until stiff

  9. 9

    Cover and refrigerate

    Make the syrup by boiling water and sugar till it dissolve. Add cocoa and coffee powder and stir well. Leave to cool.

    When the cake has cooled down , cut into 4 layers

    Drizzle syrup over each layer

    Frost the bottom layer and place another layer on top , frost and continue the same steps with the rest

    Decorate the top as desired

    Best serve chilled
