Breedom Asian Style Pork Rice Bowl

So my General Toink recipe got me to thinking. I liked the pork, but that one was just a little sweeter than I prefer. So I just winged this Asian Style basically in the same format as the General Toink recipe. It turned out really good. Sometimes I even surprise myself. Many vegetable options can be used, I would guess even frozen if you wanted.

Steps
- 1
Cut pork into about 1 inch cubes
- 2
Mix meat coating ingredients
- 3
Put pork into meat coating, mix well
- 4
In a stir-fry pan, wok or skillet, on medium high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- 5
Carefully add coated pork too hot oil. Stir to keep chunks separated. Once it starts to cook (about 2 minutes), you can move to the next step.
- 6
Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl, whisk well. If you want a thick, closer to a glaze, use 1/2 cup water/stock. If you like a little more sauce, use 1 cup. I used 1 cup because that's the way we roll.
- 7
Keep stirring pork every minute or so. Keep cooking until browned and done. Ideally you are going for crispy outside, tender but cooked inside. About 8-10 minutes.
- 8
Remove pork to a plate when done to your liking.
- 9
Add about 2 tablespoons vegetable oil to hot pan. Place mixed vegetables in hot oil. I used a premade vegetable kit this time.
- 10
Stir-fry vegetables for about 3-5 minutes, to more heat through than cook completely.
- 11
Add mixed sauce to vegetables. Bring to a low boil, turn down heat to medium low. Cover pan.
- 12
Let cook for about 3 minutes, then add pork back in. Give it a good stir.
- 13
Cover and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 14
If you wish to add some peanuts, put those in 2 minutes before done, and stir.
- 15
We like ours over cooked brown rice, but noodles would work well also.
