Hillbilly Haluski Hillbilly Haluski
A friend introduce me to haluski twenty years ago. I never had it before and loved it. She made hers without the cottage cheese, so you can do that as well. When I first got with my boyfriend, he told me that his family made it with cottage cheese. I like it that way. This is comfort food for my family. Deneen Flowers -
Polish Mess Polish Mess
My husband loves kielbasa and I was trying to think of ways to cook it for him besides the obvious combination with sauerkraut. I'm always trying to think of ways to get more vegetables into our diet and I came up with this hash-type recipe. We usually substitute turkey kielbasa to save on calories but either turkey or traditional kielbasa will work well. katharine.craig -
