Generally Fikki matthi is made on kerwa chouth or in marriages in punjab but my family loves to eat on festivals too. This matthi is served with chhole or mango pickle.

Generally Fikki matthi is made on kerwa chouth or in marriages in punjab but my family loves to eat on festivals too. This matthi is served with chhole or mango pickle.
Steps

Add maida & ghee in a mixing bowl. Mix oil & maida with hands. Add water & knead tight dough.

Rest it for 15 minutes.

Take a big lemon size ball. Flatten it with roller pin. Prick it with fork. Fix black pepper in center.

Heat oil in Kadhai on medium flame. Slide matthi in oil. Deep fry On slow flame until golden & crispy.

Let it cool on room temperature. Store it in air tight jar. Serve with chhole or pickle.
