Ingredients

  1. For kofta
  2. 2 cupsCrushed lauki
  3. 4 tbspGram flour
  4. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  5. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  6. 1 Green chilli chopped
  7. as per tasteSalt
  8. as neededOil for frying
  9. For gravy:-
  10. 2 tbspOil
  11. 1/2 cupChopped onion
  12. 1/2 tbspGinger garlic paste
  13. 2Tomato
  14. 2Green chilli
  15. 1 tbspFresh cream
  16. 2 tbspCurd
  17. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  18. 1 tbspCoriander powder
  19. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  20. 1 tspWhole spices powder
  21. as per tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Squeeze lauki and mix all ingredients into it.

  2. 2

    Mix well.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a wok.

  4. 4

    Make small balls from kofta mixture.

  5. 5

    Fry koftas on medium heat till red.

  6. 6

    Grind tomato, green chilli, cream and curd together.

  7. 7

    Heat oil in a pan for gravy.

  8. 8

    Add chopped onion and saute till red.

  9. 9

    Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes.

  10. 10

    Now add tomato paste and fry till oil leaves.

  11. 11

    Add all spices and fry little.

  12. 12

    Add 1 glass of water for gravy.

  13. 13

    Let it boil for 10 minutes on low flame.

  14. 14

    Put kofta in gravy and switch off flame.

  15. 15

    Serve with chapati and rice.
