So you either detest liverwurst or you can't get enough of it. I personally love it. This spread thickens as it chills due to the cream cheese and butter. BTW its not low calorie.....AT ALL. But if your a liverwurst fan you will really enjoy this!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbliverwurst diced roughly
  • 1/2medium onion roughly chopped
  • 4 ozsoftened cream cheese,cubed
  • 2 tbspdijon mustard
  • 2 tbspmayonnaise
  • 2 tbspsoftened butter
  • 1 tbspdried parsley
  • 1 tspchopped garlic
  • 1 tspseasoned salt
  • 1/2 tspcelery seed
  • 1/2 tspground black pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    In a food processor pulse the onions until they are diced small. Add liverwurst and process until its a pâté consistency.

  2. 2

    Add all other ingredients and continue to run processor until completely smooth.

  3. 3

    Transfer spread into your serving dish and refrigerate at LEAST 6 hrs. ( I make this two days before to allow all flavors to blend together.)

  4. 4

    Serve with crackers, cucumbers,celery,peppers and carrots. Or be a total glutton like myself and eat with a spoon.....;)
