Sticky chocolate loaf

This is a rich chocolate cake which is compact and sticky. It takes a while to cook, but it's so easy to make, and so easy to eat, it's well worth it!

Steps
- 1
In a pan, melt the butter and syrup together on a low heat, stir occasionally. When melted, remove from the heat and add the chocolate either in pieces or roughly chopped.
- 2
Mix together the dry ingredients.
- 3
Add the milk and the egg to the dry ingredients and combine it slightly.
- 4
Add your butter-syrup-chocolate mix to the flour mix and stir together.
- 5
Line a bread pan with parchment papper and pour in your chocolate mixture.
- 6
Bake your cake at 170°F celsius (338 F) for 35 minutes. Then cover your cake with aluminium foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- 7
Take out your cake and let it cool completely before lifting it out of the bread pan. Then dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
