Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  1. 6Thinly Sliced Potatoes (Peeled)
  2. 4 tbspButter
  3. 4 tbspFlour
  4. 2 cupWhipping Cream
  5. 1 tspGarlic Salt
  6. 1 tspCayenne Pepper
  7. 1 1/2 cupSharp Cheddar Cheese (Shredded)
  8. 6 sliceCooked Bacon (Chopped)
  9. 1/2 cupSharp Cheddar Cheese (Shredded, to sprinkle on top)

Cooking Instructions

    In a small sauce pan on low heat melt butter and blend in flour

    Whisk in the whipping cream

  3. 3

    Add garlic salt and cayenne pepper

  4. 4

    Cook sauce on low until smooth and boiling, stirring occasionally with a whisk

  5. 5

    Reduce heat stir in cheese and bacon

  6. 6

    Place half of the sliced potatoes in a slightly greased casserole dish

  7. 7

    Pour half the cheese sauce over the potatoes

  8. 8

    Repeat with a second layer of potatoes and cheese sauce

  9. 9

    Sprinkle the remaining cheese and some cayenne pepper

  10. 10

    Bake uncovered for about an hour at 350°
