The Italian Job
My best friend was starving at work and asked me to surprise him with something. I prepared him this. Instant classic.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Season chicken breast with salt and pepper
- 2
Beat egg yolks and put in a bowl. Pour bread crumbs into another bowl.
- 3
Dip chicken breast in egg yolk then into bread crumbs. You can repeat process if you want. To make it hold better dip chicken breast in flour first.
- 4
Put stove on medium heat and let oil heat. To see if oil is hot enough you can always take a pinch of your bread crumbs and toss in oil, if they fry your ready.
- 5
Fry chicken breast on both sides about 6min each side or until juices are clear. You can always preheat oven to 350 and let sit for about 10 mins after cooking chicken breast to ensure readiness
- 6
Top ciabatta buns with sweet jalapeno sauce and provolone cheese.
- 7
Add remaining toppings.
- 8
Voila! Don't let this one get away. Enjoy!

Tuna Melt Italiano Tuna Melt Italiano
I was bored to death of the idea of a regular tuna melt, but I felt like a tuna sandwich. Plus, I didn't feel like a lot of mayo or want to put a lot of time in, so I made a tuna melt more Italian style, and it came out quite nice. It's inside out toasted, slightly spicy, mozzarella melty goodness. Sean -
Magnificent Meatballs Magnificent Meatballs
Making meatballs is far easier than many suspect, and today was a (thankfully) cooler day so I took the opportunity to use my oven (you can also pan fry or even grill, I recommend larger meatballs for grilling). With this recipe I usually make 1 tbs sized meatballs to use for spaghetti and meatballs. I use half right away and freeze the remaining half. StephieCanCook -

Authentic Italian Sauce Authentic Italian Sauce
I grew up in an Italian American home. As a tradition every Sunday my grandmother would cook a Sunday lunch for our family and friends. If you know anything about Italian family gatherings, it was a mad house but i wouldn't have traded it for anything. She has since passed. To continue this tradition I started to cook her sauce for my family. So please enjoy! John Talamelli -

The Big Guido The Big Guido
I came up with this sub sandwich after seeing a post on a foodie forum years ago. The post was from a woman that ran a sub shoppe and she was explaining how they made their baked Italian sub. I tweaked it a bit; borrowing from the New Orleans' muffalatta. The sunshine sub sauce recipe is totally hers. It was so spot on, I didn't change a thing. I wish I could remember her name or find the post because I would love to give her well deserved credit. King-Crimson -
