Ingredients

  • 150 gmsFOR KOFTA -Grated paneer -
  • 1 cupBoiled potatoes/ aloo -
  • 20Kismis/ raisins -
  • 2 slicesBread -
  • Salt/ namak (to taste)
  • 1 cupFOR GRAVY -Malai/ cream -
  • 1 cupTomatoe puree -
  • 1/2 cupCurd/ dahi -
  • 2 tablespoonsKaju/ cashew paste -
  • 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds/ jeera -
  • 1 teaspoonWhole garammasala -
  • Turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala,
  • to tastesugar/ cheeni and salt/ namak according
  • 1 teaspoonGinger, garlic and green chilli paste -
  • Oil/ tel - 2 tablespoons for gravy and remaining for deep frying
  • Chopped coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta for garnishing the curry

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut brown edges of the bread and take a mixing bowl. Add bread, paneer, mashed potatoes and salt to make a dough.

  2. 2

    Divide the dough into 10-12 equal parts.

  3. 3

    Take a portion and make a flat ball and stuff 2 pieces of kismish and make a round ball.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan for deep fry kofta. Add kofta and fry it on a medium flame until golden in colour.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a pan, add jeera. Add whole garam masala and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.

  6. 6

    Now add ginger, garlic and chilli paste and saute for 2 minutes on low flame. Add kaju paste saute again for 5 minutes.

  7. 7

    Add tomato puree and red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric saute until masala separates oil on medium flame.

  8. 8

    Cook for 7-8 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the gas and add kofta and chopped coriander in the gravy

  9. 9

    Delicious 'Malai Kofta Curry' is ready to be served!
