OK, everybody knows that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This conglomeration has been under development for the better part of 30 years, and just keeps getting better (read “different”)

For sweet porridge add raisins, brown sugar, nut butter, hot chocolate powder and cinnamon.

For savory porridge try bouillon, onions, herbs, bacon, or sausage.

For the piece de resistance, (packed for later snacking) Chocolate, dried sweet cranberries, Kahlua, Demerara sugar.

1/4 cCracked grain (oats, flax, spelt, quinoa, etc)
1 cWater
1/8 tspsalt
1 tbspbutter/margarine
Hot Chocolate mix
Dried cranberries
Raisins
Peanut Butter
Sweetened coconut
Corn Syrup

10-30 minutes

Place grain, salt and water in saucepan and bring to a full rolling boil.

Add savory ingredients, raisins, dry ingredients.

Reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer until all liquid is absorbed.

Add tasty additions as you like 'em
