Wash daal and vegetables

Cut vegetables

Put daal, vegetables, salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and 3 cups of water in pressure cooker

Cook for 5-10 minutes on high until pressure rises and whistles

Turn off flame and let cook in pot for 10-15 minutes

Let cool

Add seasoning: warm two jumbo spoons of oil and add one broken up red chili, 1tsp cumin and mustard seed mixture and garlic powder (or 3 chopped cloves)
