Soak sama in water for 4-5 hours and then drain the excess water

Take the soaked sama into a mixer pot

Add curd and blend the mixture until smooth

Prepare a steamer and grease the plate with oil

Season the batter with ginger chilli paste, salt, sugar, lemon juice and eno and mix the batter properly

Pour the batter into the greased plate and steam the dhokla for 10-15 minutes on high flame

Remove the plate from the steamer and let it cool down for 15 minutes

For tadka, heat oil in a pan and add sesame seeds

When it starts crackling add curry leaves and green chillies and fry for few seconds

Now add water and sugar and pour this tadka over the dhokla

Cut the dhokla into pieces and serve

Tips: if the batter is too thick, add curd into the batter and mix properly to bring smooth consistency
