Ingredients

35 minutes,
2 servings
  • 1 lbground beef
  • 1egg, whisk well. tip easier to mix
  • 3/4Italian bread crumbs
  • 4shakes Worcestershire sauce
  • DO Not Add Salt until the end!
  • 1 tbspCavenders Greek seasoning has salt
  • 2more shakes of Worcestershire sauce, if desired
  • 1 teaspoononion powder
  • 1 tspHungarian spicy paprika
  • Again, no salt!!!
  • 1 tbspgarlic powder
  • 3 slicespepper jack cheese, 1/4 inch slices, diced
  • Glaze
  • 2 cupsketchup
  • 1/4 cupsiracha
  • 1 cupbrown sugar, softened

Steps

35 minutes,
  1. 1

    Mix everything, except, cheese and glaze ingredients.

  2. 2

    I use a large fork, no slimy hands, plus, integrated better!

  3. 3

    Gently, don't want to overwork the mixture.

  4. 4

    Make glaze, mix ingredients, gently simmer. 15 minutes

  5. 5

    Take half, of meatloaf mixture, make a bed for the cheese!

  6. 6

    Put the cheese into the shallow bed!

  7. 7

    Put the other half over the top.

  8. 8

    Make sure that you close the edges!

  9. 9

    Other wise, the cheese will melt,and ooze out.

  10. 10

    Heat oven to 375 degrees

  11. 11

    Spread sauce over meatloaf, save some for dipping.

  12. 12

    I baked for 45 minutes

  13. 13

    Mashed potatoes and green beans were my sides

It seems to me, like you put the meatloaf ingredients in as the singleserve, serves two. And then double the sauce recipe. Because that makes a lot of sauce just for one little meatloaf. With that much, it seems like there would be enough for a couple of batches. I love the recipe, and just was curious and wanted a clarification. A quart of catch-up seems like a lot. And I would double the recipe, as it's a hit with my family. Again, and just to be very very clear, this is not a criticism. I am just looking for clarification. Thank you!
