Heat 1 tablespoon oil in skillet.

Add 4 lean pork chops in a single layer and start browning one side. Turn chops over and brown the other side.

Add the following ingredients, in the order listed: onion, coarsley chopped; garlic clove, minced; bell pepper, diced. Add thyme, sage, uncooked rice, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, pepper to taste, beef broth.

Bring to boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer for 45 minutes. Add water as needed during the duration of the 45 minutes.

Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
