Ingredients

  1. 1 tspRai -
  2. 1 tspJeera -
  3. 1/2 tspCoriander seeds
  4. pinchHing -
  5. Curry leaves - few, chopped
  6. Cashew - as per u required
  7. 1Onion finely chopped
  8. 1 tspGinger fine crushed
  9. 1Green chillies finely chopped
  10. 1/2 tspHaldi -
  11. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder -
  12. 1/4 tspGaram masala -
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. 3Potatoes (boiled and crushed)
  15. 1 tbspLemon juice -
  16. for batter :
  17. 1 cupBesan -
  18. 1/4 cupCorn flour -
  19. 1/4 tspHaldi -
  20. 1/4 tspred chilli powder -
  21. 1/4 tspAjwain -
  22. to tasteSalt
  23. Water as required
  24. 1/4 tspbaking soda -
  25. 1 tspoil -

Steps

  1. 1

    For stuffing : heat oil in a pan, add jeera, rai, coriander seeds, hing, curry leaves and stir it

  2. 2

    Add cashews till it turns to golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add onion and saute it well. Then add ginger and green chillies and saute it.

  4. 4

    Add haldi, chilli powder, garam masala, Salt and mix it well

  5. 5

    Now add mashed potatoes and mix it properly.

  6. 6

    At last add coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix it well

  7. 7

    Turn off the burner and keep it aside

  8. 8

    For batter : take a bowl, add besan, cornflour, haldi, red chilli powder, ajwain, Salt and combine well and then add water and mix well.

  9. 9

    Batter flowing consistency is thick, then add oil and baking soda. Mix gently.

  10. 10

    Now take stuffing in ur palm and make a small or medium sized ball

  11. 11

    Dip this balls in a batter and then deep fry

  12. 12

    Stir occasionally till it golden brown.

  13. 13

    Ready to eat ur Aloo Bonda. Enjoy with Green Chutney or Tomato Sauce
