Ingredients

  • 2Bacon rashers, rind removed
  • 60 gramsButter
  • 2 largeBrown Onions, chopped finely
  • 2 stickCelery, chopped finely
  • 3 cloveGarlic, crushed
  • 2 tspThyme leaves
  • 1/4 cupPlain Flour
  • 1 cupFish stock
  • 400 gramsCreamed Corn
  • 500 gramsManara mix
  • 2Sheets Short crust pastry
  • 1Egg, lightly beaten

Steps

  1. 1

    Saute Bacon over medium until browned, add Butter, Onions , Celery, cook for 5 min until soft. Add Garlic & Thyme, cook further 2 min. Add Flour, cook string for 2 min.

    Gradually stir in stock, bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer until thick.

  3. 3

    Remove from heat, cool slightly, then stir in sweet corn, Seafood, & Chives.

  4. 4

    Transfer mixture to pie dish, cover & refrigerate until cold.

  5. 5

    Pre heat oven to 180° . Cover with pastry, brush with egg, bake 30 min.
