Ingredients

30-35minutes
7-8servings
  1. Malpua Ingredients:-
  2. 1 bowlKhoya (roasted)
  3. 1/2 bowlOats (roasted)
  4. 1 spoonsemolina(suji)
  5. 1/2 bowlSugar
  6. 1Apple (grind)
  7. 1 spoonFennel seeds
  8. 2-3 spoonDryfruit Powder(Almond+Cashew+Pista)
  9. 2 spoonDesi Ghee
  10. 1/2 teaspoon Elaichi powder
  11. 1/4teaspoonTurmeric (Haldi)
  12. 1 pinchSaffron (Kesar)
  13. 1 1/2-2 glasshot Milk
  14. 1 cup(Optional: water)
  15. For Frying- Oil/Ghee
  16. Sugar syrup Ingredients:-
  17. 1 bowlsugar
  18. 1 bowlwater
  19. 1/2 tspElaichi powder
  20. 1/2 bowlchopped dry fruit
  21. 1 pinchsaffron

Steps

  1. 1

    To prepare Sugar Syrup:-
    Place water in a pan over medium flame. Add sugar in it and stir until fully dissolved then after a few minutes remove the scum that rise to the top. Now add Elaichi powder, dryfruits and saffron in it and stir well. Once the sugar syrup is thick, remove the pan from the flame and keep it aside.

    Recipe for Malpua:-
    Mix all the Ingredients, ensure the mixture is of pouring consistency and not too thick.

    Once the Batter is ready keep it aside for 1hour so that the flavor of ingredients gets absorbed.

  4. 4

    Now heat the ghee in a pan over low flame.

  5. 5

    Pour a ladleful of the mixture and spread evenly.

  6. 6

    Keep the flame low and cook till it is light brown on both sides.

  7. 7

    Remove the cooked malpua and drain the excess ghee.

  8. 8

    Drop the malpua in sugar syrup and allow it to soak for 2-3minutes.

  9. 9

    Repeat the same with the remaining batter.

  10. 10

    Drain the Malpuas from the syrup and It's ready.
