Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven 350

Roll a loaf into a 12 x16 inch rectangle on parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

Mix spaghetti, sauce and cheese cubes together.

Remove a wrap from dough. Place spaghetti mixture lengthwise in a 4 inch strip down the center of the dough.

Make cuts one and a half inches apart on long sides of dough to within a half inch of the filling.

Begin braid by folding the top and bottom strips towards the filling. Then braid strips left over right, right over left finish by pulling last strip over the end tucking under the braid

Lift braid with both hands and place on large sprayed baking sheet or transfer parchment paper to baking sheet. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly and slice to serve.

The bread came out so very soft and fluffy. The rounds were so good but the bottom of them turned hard on the second day, but the bread was perfect. I had my rounds on the bottom rack of the oven which is gas. I am thinking they may have gotten too hot. We have 2 racks in the oven. These are easy to shape so I usually pack these in my bento lunchbox. I fill the rolls with chocolate, stewed apples, leftover kinpira burdock stir-fry, or patties.
