Steps

Wash and pressure cook the toor dal along with water for 3/4 whistles.

Cool down and keep aside.

Grind ginger garlic coconut to a smooth paste.

Meanwhile cut drumsticks into lengthwise, remove it's skin & boil along with water & pinch of salt. Do not over cook.

Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cummin seeds and let them crackle.

Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, grind paste & kanda lasun masala. Saute for a minute.

Add cooked dal, mix well.

Add water as per consistency of dal. It should not be too thick or thin.

When it's boil add kokum, jaggery, salt & boiled drumsticks.

Cook for 5 minutes.

Serve with hot steam rice.
