Ingredients

  • 1 cup Samak rice
  • 1 tbspSabudana
  • 1 tsp Rock salt
  • 1 tbspCurd -
  • 1 tspSesame seeds -
  • as neededCoriander leaves and pomegranate garnish
  • 1 tsp Jeera -
  • 1 tsp Oil -

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak samak rice and Saboodana overnight.
    Drain excess water. In a mixer jar add rice and curd and grind to a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Keep aside for fermentation for 4- 5 hrs.
    Now boil water in a steamer and grease thali.
    Add salt to the batter and mix well.

  3. 3

    Pour this batter into greased thali. Steam it for 10 mins.

  4. 4

    Let it cool it completely. Then cut roughly
    Now in a tadka pan heat oil and put jeera and sesame seeds and green mirchi.

  5. 5

    Cook for 2 mins in medium flame. Take out in serving dish.

  6. 6

    Serve Garnish with coriander leaves pomegranate.
    Serve with peanut chutney
