First of all wash and peel tinda and cut it into 4 to 6 piece in each..

Then take a heavy bottom pan or kadahi and heat it..

Then put oil, then add cumin seed, asafoetida, garlic and saute for a min, then onion again saute...

Then add chopped green chilli, ginger, then tomato and let the masala roast for 1 min... Then add tinda and turmeric powder and salt and give it a quick mix... And let it covered and cook for 5 to 6 min approx

Stir in between... When tinda got done then add all remaining ingredients and let it cook for 1 min and serve hot with chapati or paratha...
