Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgchopped tinda
  2. 1 tspfinely chopped ginger
  3. 1 tspfinely chopped green chilli
  4. 2medium finely chopped onion
  5. 2 tspfinely chopped garlic
  6. 1medium sized tomato chopped
  7. 1 tbspmustard oil
  8. 1 tspcumin seed
  9. 1 pinchasafoetida
  10. 1 tspturmeric powder
  11. 1 tspred chilli powder
  12. 1 tspcoriander powder
  13. 1 tspgaram masala
  14. 2 tspfennel seed powder
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. handfulFinely chopped green coriander

Steps

  1. 1

    First of all wash and peel tinda and cut it into 4 to 6 piece in each..

  2. 2

    Then take a heavy bottom pan or kadahi and heat it..

  3. 3

    Then put oil, then add cumin seed, asafoetida, garlic and saute for a min, then onion again saute...

  4. 4

    Then add chopped green chilli, ginger, then tomato and let the masala roast for 1 min... Then add tinda and turmeric powder and salt and give it a quick mix... And let it covered and cook for 5 to 6 min approx

  5. 5

    Stir in between... When tinda got done then add all remaining ingredients and let it cook for 1 min and serve hot with chapati or paratha...
