Oats are loaded with important vitamins, minerals and antioxidant plant compounds. They are a good sauce of carbs and fiber .

They also contain more protein and fat than most grains .

The nutrient composition of oats is well-balanced. I always prefer to include Oats in my menu.

So today's breakfast was Oats and vegetables Chilla with Sambar.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsoats
  2. 1/3 cupsooji
  3. 1/2 cupcurd
  4. 1/2 bowl chopped onion, green chilli, tomato, Simla Mirch, carrot, curry leaves or green coriander leaves which one you prefer (cut into small pieces.)
  5. 1/2 tspgrated ginger
  6. 1/3fried zeera powder
  7. 1/3 tspAjwain seeds
  8. Red mirch powder(optional)
  9. Water according to dosa batter consistency
  10. Salt as required

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
    Cover and keep for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Put a little cooking oil on a hot non stick fry pan.

  3. 3

    Add a tbsp of batter, keep low medium flames and cover with a lid.

  4. 4

    After 2 mins flip the Chilla and cook the other side.

  5. 5

    Now it is ready to eat. Serve hot with chutney.

    I served with sambar.
