Ingredients

  1. 100 gmmoong whole
  2. 100 gmmoth whole
  3. 1 teaspoonblack salt
  4. 1/2 teaspooncommon salt
  5. 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  6. 1 table spoonchaat masala
  7. 20 gmcoriander leaves
  8. 2lime
  9. 1medium sized preboiled potato
  10. 1medium sized chopped onions
  11. 1small red tomato chopped
  12. 1 teaspoonvegetable oil

Steps

    Soak both the pulses overnight..

  2. 2

    In the morning drain out water and keep the pulses back but now in an insulated casserole..

  3. 3

    Soak them in a little water and close the lid of the casserole

  4. 4

    Depending upon the external environmental temperature.the germination of the pulses depend.

  5. 5

    If it's warm the germination would be faster

  6. 6

    Here i have kept in the casserole for two hours in summers.

  7. 7

    Open after 2 hours one can see the pulses have sprouted out..

  8. 8

    Take these sprouts out and microwave or boil in cooker so as to make a beat tender..just give one whistle only..

  9. 9

    Let it cool and make a chaat now

  10. 10

    Add all the above mentioned spices and salt..

  11. 11

    Add chopped onions potato tomatoes with a little oil

  12. 12

    Mix all the ingredients thoroughly

  13. 13

    Squeeze a juice from lime and pour over it

  14. 14

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves..

  15. 15

    Enjoy this chaat either in the breakfast or in the lunch as a salad option..The choice is yours
