Ingredients

30 minutes
6 servings
  • 3-4leftover chapatis
  • 1small onion finely chopped
  • 2green chillies finely chopped
  • 1carrot grated
  • 1small capsicum finely chopped
  • 1/2 cupboiled and mashed green peas/matar
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cupdry roasted and powdered oats
  • 1 tspgrated ginger
  • 1 tspamchur powder or lemon juice
  • 1 tspajwain
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspjeera powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 cupbesan slurry(take 2-3 tsp of besan & add 5-6 tbsp water)
  • Oil for deep frying

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Break chapatis in small pieces and grind it to a coarse powder and transfer it to a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add onion, green chilli, carrot, capsicum, peas, ginger, red chilli powder, jeera powder, salt, coriander, amchur, ajwain and 1 tbsp powdered oats, mix well and knead it like a dough by adding 1-2 tbsp water.

    Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Grease your palm with a little oil and make small lemon size balls. Dip these balls in besan slury and roll it in roasted powdered oats.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a wok, drop these chapati balls in hot oil and fry by flipping them over couple of times till they become crispy and golden brown from all the sides.

    Vegetable chapati balls are ready. Serve them hot with your choice of sauce😊👍
