Ingredients

  1. 1 cupMasoor dal
  2. 1Tomatoe
  3. 1Onion
  4. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  5. 1 tspGaram Masala
  6. 1 tspCoriander powder
  7. 1 tspJeera powder
  8. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  9. 1 tspTurmeric
  10. to tasteSalt
  11. as neededOil For frying
  12. As neededFresh coriander

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the Masoor dal and soak it for 10min..
    Meanwhile take a pressure cooker add oil, chopped onions and let it fry for a minute, add Turmeric and chopped tomatoes and sauté for a while and then add ginger garlic paste, Garam Masala, coriander and jeera powder, Chilli powder and let cook for few seconds.

    Then add the soaked Masoor dal and little water, mix well and pressure cook on a low flame Atleast for 8 whistles..

    Switch off the flame and wait till the steam is gone..

    Open carefully add salt and mix well and garnish with fresh coriander and serve..

    Goes well with Bagara rice and Roti's..
