Ingredients

6 servings
  1. BEEF STIR FRY
  2. 1 cuporange juice
  3. 2 tsptoasted sesame oil
  4. 2garlic cloves (chopped)
  5. 5 tbspolive oil
  6. 2 lbsflank steak (cut into 1/2 inch strips)
  7. 1 tbspcornstarch
  8. 1red onion (thinly sliced)
  9. 2 tspcurry powder
  10. 2tomatoes (chopped)
  11. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  12. salt and pepper
  13. 1 tbspchopped parsley
  14. BROCCOLINI
  15. 2 cupschopped broccolini (1 bunch)
  16. 2 tbspolive oil
  17. 1/2red onion (sliced)
  18. 1 (2 inch)piece ginger (peeled and minced)
  19. 2garlic cloves (chopped)
  20. 1 tbspsesame seeds
  21. 2 tspcurry powder
  22. 2 tsptomato paste
  23. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  24. juice of 1 lime
  25. 2 tsptoasted sesame oil
  26. 2 tbsprice wine vinegar
  27. 2scallions ( bottoms, chopped )
  28. salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

    BEEF STIR FRY

    Combine orange juice, sesame oil, and 2 tbsp olive oil in a large bowl

  3. 3

    Add flank steak and turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes

  4. 4

    Strain marinade from steak, reserving 2 tbsp. Mix reserved marinade with cornstarch in a small bowl, and set aside.

    Heat remaining 3 tbsp olive oil in wok or large saute pan. Add onion and curry powder and saute until translucent, about 3 minutes.

    Add flank steak, saute until browned, about 5 minutes

    Add marinade mixture, tomatoes, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and cook until sauce thickens, about 1 minute.

    Remive from heat and add parsley. Season with salt and pepper, serve with broccolini

    BROCCOLINI

  10. 10

    Bring pot of salted water to boil

  11. 11

    Add broccolini, and simmer for 1 minute.

    Strain and rinse with cold water

  13. 13

    Heat olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 3 minutes.

    Add ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, curry powder, and tomato paste. Saute for 2 minutes.

    Add broccolini, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, vinegar, and scallions. Stir until heated through, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
