Steps

Soak the masoor dal for an hour

In a pressure cooker Add the dal water salt and a few drops of oil. Cook for 5 whistles.

In a pan add oil. Add jeera bay leaves and hing

Add in chopped onion and garlic along with green chillies

Add in the tomatoes.

Add in turmeric powder and red chilli powder

Add some water and cook till tomatoes are mushy and the masalas blend well

Add in the cooked dal. Cook on low heat till all spices blend into the dal

Add ghee and coriander leaves
- 10
Serve with rice
