Chilli chicken

Cooking Instructions

Make batter with 1 egg, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon cornflour,. 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon vinegar, pepper powder and salt

Coat the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry them till golden brown

Add 1 tablespoon of oil in a super hot wok.

Add 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste.

Add the chopped onions and bell peppers.

Fry for 2 mins until the onions become transparent in high flame

Add the fried chicken and fry for 1 more minute
- 8
Make a mixture of the 4 sauces with a little water.

Reduce the flame and add the mixture.

Fry well for 2 mins while coating the mixture well with the chicken.

Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar only if it's not sour

Dilute half a teaspoon of cornflour in water (add more if your gravy is too watery) and add it to the mixture.

Stir frequently in high flame until the thick consistency is reached.

Turn off the stove and add some ajinomoto or Chinese stir fry spice from top.

Garnish with chopped spring onions.

Serve hot with fried rice.

My husband and I like pork more than beef. You all could see that through my recipes. Today, I am cooking with beef, just so I don’t look like a dysfunctional cook. Not for long though....I just got a package of beef that has the most marbles on it. Cut out the best piece to make a steak later, and use the rest for stir fry. Don’t even know which parts of the cow. I have to rely on the package, but throw mine away so I just have to call it beef. 2choi
