Ingredients

10 servings
  • 500 gmschickpeas (big white variety)
  • 2onions, dhania
  • 4tomatoes plus 2 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 tbspgarlic/ginger paste
  • 1 tbspgaram masala
  • to tastesalt
  • oil
  • for bhatura:
  • 1kg.all purpose fl
  • 2 1/4 cupswarm water
  • 2 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1/4 cupoil for kneading

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean and soak chickpeas for ten hrs then pressure cook for 15 min

  2. 2

    Heat oil and add onions fry til golden add garlic/ginger paste let this. cook for few seconds

  3. 3

    Next add tomatoes plus the tomato paste till mashed add salt and garam masala

  4. 4

    Add chickpeas stir an simmer for few minutes lastly add Dhania and remove from heat

  5. 5

    Bhatura: mix flour, bp, salt and oil and knead. cover the dough and set aside for 1hr.

  6. 6

    Make small balls roll and deep fry. ready to serve.
