My top favourite Indian sweet is definitely doodh peda! Their melt-in your mouth goodness won’t let you stop with just one! Here’s my take on making instant doodh peda with simple steps.

Melt the ghee in a pan.

Add the milk made and stir on low flame

Add the milk powder and continue to stir on low flame. Or it will get burnt!

Roast a few pistachios in ghee and set aside for garnishing later on.

Add the saffron or food Coloring to the pan and mix well.

Finally you can add some more ghee. And you will find the Peda mixture will separate from the pan as shown in the picture. Turn off the stove now.

Rubbing some ghee on your palms make small balls from the Peda mixture and flatten it into the desired shape. (Do this quickly while the mix is warm) Press onto the centre of each Peda one roasted pistachio.
